Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy
This policy applies to all services provided by 2wheels Rental, including but not limited to guided tours, multi-day tours, bike rentals, e-bike rentals, MTB experiences, corporate events and private bookings.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to: ticino@2wheelsrental.com
1. Payments
1.1 Tours (Single-Day & Multi-Day)
- A booking is confirmed upon receipt of payment or deposit.
- For single-day tours, full payment is required to secure the reservation.
- For multi-day tours, a deposit (typically 30–50%) is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance must be paid prior to the tour start date, as specified in the booking confirmation.
- Failure to complete payment by the due date may result in automatic cancellation without refund of the deposit.
1.2 Bike & Equipment Rentals
- Full payment is required to confirm rental bookings.
- A valid ID and security deposit may be required at pickup.
- The renter is responsible for any damages beyond normal wear and tear.
2. Cancellation Policy – Guided Tours
2.1 Single-Day Tours
- More than 72 hours before start time:
- Full refund minus 10% administrative fee.
- 50% refund.
- No refund.
- No refund.
2.2 Multi-Day Tours
- More than 30 days before departure:
- Full refund minus 10% administrative fee.
- 50% refund of total tour price.
- No refund.
3. Cancellation Policy – Bike Rentals
- More than 24 hours before rental start:
- 90% refund (10% administrative fee applies).
- Cancellation must be made before 9:00 AM the day prior to rental.
- No refund.
- No refund.
- No refund for unused time.
- No refund.
4. Changes & Rescheduling
- More than 24 hours before rental start:
- 90% refund (10% administrative fee applies).
- Cancellation must be made before 9:00 AM the day prior to rental.
- No refund.
- No refund.
- No refund for unused time.
- No refund.
5. Weather & Force Majeure
- Tours and rentals operate in outdoor environments.Refunds or credits may be offered in the following cases:
- Severe weather conditions that make the activity unsafe (e.g., heavy rainfall, snow, extreme wind).
- Official safety warnings issued by authorities.
- Bodily injury preventing participation (medical certificate required).
6. Minimum Participants (Tours)
- Some tours require a minimum number of participants.If the minimum is not reached:
- Participants will be offered an alternative date,
- A private upgrade option, or
- A full refund.
7. Responsibility & Insurance
- Participants are responsible for:
- Ensuring they are physically fit for the activity.
- Carrying personal accident and health insurance.
- Providing accurate personal information.
- Personal injury resulting from inherent risks of cycling or outdoor sports.
- Loss or theft of personal belongings.
- Missed flights or travel disruptions.
8. Equipment Damage & Liability (Rentals)
- The renter is financially responsible for:
- Loss, theft or damage to rental equipment.
- Repair costs resulting from misuse or negligence.
9. Incorrect Dates & Booking Responsibility
It is the customer’s responsibility to verify booking dates and details upon receiving confirmation.
2wheels Rental is not responsible for incorrect dates confirmed by the customer.
No refunds will be issued for missed reservations due to customer error.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking with 2wheels Rental, the customer acknowledges and accepts this Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy in full.
